Biography
Formed in Manchester, UK towards the end 1995, Acme Rocket have rapidly become one of The North West's most prominant unsigned indie bands. In January 1996 they were asked to contribute to press/industry sponsored Resolution Records's CD, Next Stop North a compilation of the seven most promising unsigned bands currently gigging in the North West. Since then Acme Rocket have played major venues around the North West and are attracting considerable A&R interest. They have also enjoyed airplay on several local radio stations and in New York.The Music
The music is essentially brit pop / alternative with strong distinctive melodies, in a style ranging from soft to powerful, always emmotive, distinctive and daring. They are noted for thier high standard of musicianship and virtuosity and for being polished yet exciting live performers.The Band
